Check HERE for available coupons and special offers. One time, I got a Chipotle BOGO coupon on that site when the tv show America’s Next Great Restaurant was showing. Actually, I think I may have gotten a few come think of it. Wow, what a great promotion it was at the time. To be honest, I think Chipotle needs to run more offers like that! It’s a good way to reward those who have been loyal customers.
My first experience at Chipotle Mexican Grill: I had my first chipotle burrito back in 2003 when I was still living in Dallas, TX. My friends and I were trying to find a place to eat in between classes when one of them mentioned Chipotle. I thought it would be a good idea to try something new and different so I agreed. When when got there, my initial impression of Chipotle was that it was clean inside and that the restaurant atmosphere had a modern and relaxing feel. The menu was directly above the employee’s who made the food in front of you – very similar to how Subway does it but I noticed that it’s a lot faster at Chipotle. It seemed like things were done more efficiently at Chipotle, even though the line was long we were quickly ordering in no time. My first impression was why is it that I’m always in line forever at Subway waiting for them to take my order or for them to make my sandwich. Anyways, that’s the feeling I got. I’m sure other people will agree.
So I asked for a steak burrito and they quickly made it and after paying for it, I thought to myself “thats not a bad deal for around 6 bucks.” On top of that, the burrito was the biggest I’ve ever had. At first, I wasn’t sure if I could actually finish the entire steak burrito. As I took my first bite, I noticed a delightful tasted of meat and veggies combined with sour cream and a tad of chipotle hot sauce. This was quite possible the best burrito I’ve ever had! So why haven’t I heard about it before? Well, I guess I must have been to busy with my studies and exams, classes etc… that I never new a Chipotle existed. Well, I was definitely glad to have eaten there that day because I have been a fan of chipotle burritos ever since. Actually, my favorite dish is the chipotle burrito bowl with barbacoa, pico de gallo, corn, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and a small portion of the hot sauce.
I don’t know about you, but I try to eat Chipotle at least once a week. It tastes so fresh and watching them cut the meat in front of you shows that the food is warm and fresh when they serve it. I can honestly say that Chipotle Mexican Grill is one of my top places to eat when you food that is quick, reasonably priced, tasty and healthy.
It takes more than great tasting food to make a terrific meal. It takes an awesome location and eating with fun, interesting people. About the Chipotle Experience: Each ingredient is laid out in front of you so you can choose the perfect combination to make your perfect meal. You can watch the process as your burrito, bowl, tacos, or salad is prepared exactly the way you want it and handed to you almost instantly.
Here’s a look at the Chipotle Mexican Grill menu:
Burrito: Who doesn’t love a burrito right? Flour tortilla, choice of cilantro-lime rice, pinto or vegetarian black beans, meat (braised carnitas or barbacoa, adobo-marinated and grilled chicken or steak) or guacamole, salsa and cheese or sour cream. All I can say is…yummy!
Burrito Bowl: My favorite! Served in a bowl, choice of cilantro-lime rice, pinto or vegetarian black beans, meat (braised carnitas or barbacoa, adobo-marinated and grilled chicken or steak) or guacamole, salsa and cheese or sour cream.
Crispy Tacos: An excellent meal choice: Crispy corn shells filled with meat (braised carnitas or barbacoa, adobo-marinated and grilled chicken or steak), salsa, cheese or sour cream and romaine lettuce. This will hit the spot!
Soft Tacos: This is just as good as the crispy tacos. Soft flour tortillas filled with meat (braised carnitas or barbacoa, adobo-marinated and grilled chicken or steak), salsa, cheese or sour cream and romaine lettuce. I love this stuff!
Salad: A good choice as well! Chopped romaine lettuce with choice of pinto or vegetarian black beans, meat (braised carnitas or barbacoa, adobo-marinated and grilled chicken or steak) or guacamole, salsa and cheese, with freshly made chipotle-honey vinaigrette.
Chips and Guac: A great way to start off or finish a meal with. Chips are made fresh every day, with a squeeze of real lime and kosher salt. Guacamole is made from perfectly ripe avocados, and hand mashed, up to three times a day.
Kids Menu: Kids love this menu! Let your kids get creative with a taco kit of two soft or crispy taco shells and your choice of three ingredients (one meat or guacamole). Or choose from a small quesadilla with a side of rice and beans or a single taco with a side of rice. All Kid’s Menu items are served with kid’s chips and juice or organic milk (plain or chocolate).
Locally Grown: This is how you know it’s fresh! The USDA suggest 400 miles from the source of production makes a food locally produced, but really it depends on the climate and season, when it’s possible to purchase the food grown close to your home, and when it has to be shipped to reach you. Chipotle “local produce” is grown on farms within 350 miles of the restaurant.
Food With Integrity is Chipotle’s commitment to changing traditional “fast food” culture by serving customers the very best ingredients, all raised with respect for the animals, the environment and the farmers. Check out the Nutritional Calculator from Chipotle.
Fact #1: Did you know that McDonalds was once an investor in Chipotle Mexica Grill, but they divested in 2006 and Chipotle went public on the New York Stock Exchange that year. It’s true!
Fact #2: Also, in an average day, Chipotle uses 97,000 pounds of avocados and we use 70 avocados to make a single batch of guacamole. Wow!!!
